Research Node - Data Feed Microsimulation
Gothaer Platz in Erfurt serves as a unique research hub where innovative measurement technology and state-of-the-art simulation methods come together. Various data collection methods – from drone flights to traffic detectors – provide valuable insights into traffic patterns and enable precise evaluation of data quality. On this basis, microsimulations are calibrated with PTV Vissim, which accurately depict real traffic flows and open up new optimization possibilities.
In the webinar, Marco Fedior (Bauhaus University Weimar) will present the project. He researches innovative methods of data collection and evaluation in the field of transportation and shows how vehicle trajectories from drone flights can be used to create practical simulations and what potential they offer for planning and traffic management.
